Phil Dorrell has over 30 years retail experience working in the UK for Safeway and Asda. He has held positions from Regional Management responsible for over £340M a year, Head of Central Operations and latterly Head of In-store Marketing for Asda. Phil's diverse experience gives him a clear perspective on both store operations, branding and marketing. Chris Burns is a retail operations professional with over 30 years’ experience operating at a senior level with many of the UK’s leading retail companies including B&Q, Dorothy Perkins, Debenhams and O2 where he was the Retail Operations Director leading the successful transition of over 450 stores from BT Cellnet into O2. Chris also spent several years as a senior retail management consultant with Arthur Anderson working on projects in Europe and the USA. Biography:
Alistair has more than 25 years’ retailing experience much of which has been spent with the U.K.'s largest retailer, Tesco. Alistair progressed through the ranks at Tesco from graduate trainee to Senior Buying Manager accountable for categories with sales in excess of £400m.
At Tesco Alistair covered the majority of edible and non-edible grocery categories, introducing some ground breaking sub-categories along the way. His responsibilities latterly included delivering “local products” for Tesco and he continues this passion now, supporting smaller producers and manufacturers deliver ‘retail ready’ products for independent and the large grocery multiples . To date, Alistair has brokered the introduction of more than 200 ‘locally sourced’ products into the multiples.
