Overview

Our Client wished to support a number of local retailers who were finding it difficult to compete with the large multiples in both food and non-food categories.

Approach

Following a detailed review of the trading conditions we were able to construct an interactive workshop that supported in:

  • Using their size as an advantage creating points of difference from the retail giants
  • Understanding how to create a strategy that all in the business could easily identify with and bring to life in their working lives, recognising their Brand and how to support it
  • Using the power of the customer to understand what they want now and staying close to their developing needs
  • Creating customer advocacy by establishing customer journey and one to one techniques that built rapport and trust

Results

The workshop, conducted over two days, challenged the negative view of the larger competition and helped the small retailers understand their strengths, under the mantra of “small is a weapon”. A Highly customer centric workshop that created a real buzz in the community delivering positive results on the look and feel of the high street shops.
